A little bit about your therapist..
After many years working in Financial institutions in the City of London (more than I will admit to here!), the move to practising Cognitive Hypnotherapy may seem, to some, a strange one. Over the years I have become more and more curious about what makes us behave in particular ways, how we sometimes behave completely out of character and don't understand why. What is it that makes otherwise confident people turn to jelly at the thought of giving a presentation, for example? How can we better cope with stress?
What could possibly be done to help people with issues that affect their lives in sometimes all pervasive ways?
What is the difference that would make the difference in our lives?
This curiosity was the beginning of a long and quite amazing journey, discovering along the way just how powerful Cognitive Hypnotherapy can be in so many areas and enabling me to become a guide for those who want to make a difference in their lives.
After practising in Harley Street for a while, I am now pleased to be able to offer my services closer to Hampstead, where I live. My practise is in Belsize Park, at Perspective Health in Englands Lane, incorporating the Hampstead (Stop) Smoking clinic and appointments are also available on the City by special arrangement.
Training & QualificationsI was fortunate enough to be trained at the Internationally recognised Quest Institute, by the principle trainer, Trevor Silvester. The Quest Institute is considered the home of Cognitive Hypnotherapy.
The diploma course at the Quest Institute is probably one of the most thorough that you will find and graduation is achieved by completing the Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD), an examination externally validated by the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) and the independant accrediting body NCFE.
In order to display the "Quest Institute Trained" logo, I have to fulfil certain conditions. The standards we must adhere to can be viewed here:
