What is Cognitive Hypnotherapy?
Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an approach rather than just a set of techniques. It takes recent understandings of how the brain works, ideas from a form of communication psychology called NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and a modern view of the everyday nature of trance (ever daydreamed your way through a meeting?) and it pulls them together into an approach that can achieve amazing results in a short space of time.
This is very different from the traditional idea of watching a swinging watch or losing control - sometimes it doesn’t even involve you closing your eyes for more than a few seconds. Cognitive Hypnotherapists act as guides to help you find the best way to the solution of your issue. We think that everyone has all the inner resources they need to solve the problem, so together we can work towards your desired solution. Each of us are different. The root of one person's need to smoke, for example, will be different from another's. The meaning of the word 'stress' to one person will be different from the meaning for someone else. One solution will not fit all.
What this means for You
A key part of the Cognitive Hypnotherapy approach is that all techniques will be tailored to each client on an individual basis.
Any session that we have together will have been written especially for you to help you make the most effective change in as short a time as possible.
Please call or email me now to discuss how this approach can help you achieve what you would like to.
